In a recent webinar on the importance of trauma-informed communication, 41% of victim service providers in attendance told Equifax^® public safety leaders that process gaps were their agency’s greatest victim communication hurdle. And, nearly 40% view victim status inquiries as a frequent or major barrier to their investigative work.

Investigations benefit from victim engagement, which can be encouraged by an agency’s regular interaction and communication. Without investigators taking initiative, this kind of reciprocal engagement might be lost. And without the victim’s participation, law enforcement may lose their most vital partner.
